I am Rosie Luckey, science lab teacher for third, fourth, and fifth grades, and campus Science contact. Excitement is in the air because the integration of S.T.E.M. --science, technology, engineering, and math-- will be more evident than ever! To see what STEM is and how it is part of our curriculum, click on the STEM page on the left.
The science labs will provide students with hands-on experience to reinforce science concepts and provide discovery (first-time) opportunities. I believe that language & literature are necessary components in Science to provide vocabulary proficiency and build knowledge; introducing design will spark creativity.

I attended the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), and graduated with a BS in Management from the University of Phoenix. I earned my Texas elementary teaching certification in all subjects for grades 1 through 6 through UTEP, and I also have a science teaching certification for grades 4 through 8. I am starting my fifteenth year teaching elementary students.
My conference period is 12:45 - 1:30 p.m. Please call the school office (915-236-0250) to schedule an appointment. I look forward to meeting you and working together to make science a great adventure for your child and all students!
