Veronica Natividad, Family Intervention Specialist

Meet Our Social Services Worker... Ms.Natividad

Hello!  My name is Veronica Natividad, and I am proud to be the first social services worker here at Hughey Elementary School.

I was born and raised in El Paso and am a proud graduate of Burges High School and the University of Texas at El Paso.  I am the proud mother of an eleven year old son.

I am starting my 6th year with EPISD as a Family Intervention Specialist with the Focus on Children and Families program.  My degree is in Psychology and Criminal Justice, though the majority of my work experience has been in the field of Social Work.  My previous work experience consists of working for the El Paso Police Department, the Shelter for Battered Women, and Child Protective Services.

I manage the Focus on Children and Families program for Hughey.  It is the first year that this program is being implemented at this campus, though it has been in existence for over 20 years at different elementary schools in the district.  The program is geared towards offering one on one counseling services for our students, along with advocacy and support services for the families that we work with.

My focus is to be of service to everyone here at our campus.  Please do not hesitate to call me if you should seek any information or assistance.  I can be reached at 236-0250.

I’m here to serve!
